The Denver Broncos hope they have found the replacement to wide receiver Brandon Marshall in Demaryious Thomas.
The Broncos selected the wideout from Georgia Tech with the No. 23 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Thomas is a tall, speedy wideout who was underutilized in Georgia Tech’s option-style offense.
He broke his foot in offseason workouts, which kept him from showing off his skills to NFL scouts until right before the draft.
Many feel that Thomas will end up being the top wideout from this draft despite the presence of Dez Bryant.

The Denver Broncos will play 16 games during the 2010 regular season. Fifteen of those will be held within the borders of the United States.
That other game? It’s one that will draw plenty of attention, as the Broncos face San Francisco in London on Oct. 31.
The National Football League has revealed the game dates and times for the 2010 season. Denver begins the season on this side of the Atlantic, playing at Jacksonville on opening day Sept. 12. The home slate opens against Seattle on Sept. 19, and AFC champion Indianapolis comes calling Sept. 26. Denver then hits the road for back-to-back road contests at Tennessee and at Baltimore.
Before heading to England, Denver plays at home for two weeks, facing the New York Jets and Oakland before the long road trip to face the 49ers. At least the Broncos can enjoy the bye week after leaving England.
The second half starts Nov. 14against Kansas City at home, followed with a Monday Night Football matchup at AFC West champion San Diego on Nov. 22, and a home game with St. Louis on Nov. 28.
Three road games in a row are up next: at Kansas City, at Arizona and at Oakland. The season concludes with two consecutive home contests, against Houston and vs. San Diego.

Kicker Jason Elam plans to sign a one-day contract with the Denver Broncos and then announce his retirement.
Elam, one of the best kickers in the history of the NFL, saw his play decline significantly last season.
He began the year with the Atlanta Falcons but was eventually released after struggling to get the ball through the uprights.
He might be best remembered for tying the record for the longest field goal ever with a 63-yard boot.
The veteran played 15 seasons with the Broncos from 1993-2007, winning two Super Bowls.
