Tebow signs contract
Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow narrowly avoided a training camp holdout, signing a five-year contract worth more than $11 million.
Tebow wanted to report to training camp but was advised by his agent to hold out for a better deal.
His agent wanted more money than wide receiver Dez Bryant, citing the fact that Tebow is a quarterback.
The contract was drafted in such a way that Tebow could make as much as $33 million over the next five seasons.
While Tebow is signed, rookie wide receiver Demaryious Thomas still has not agreed to a contract.
